About SOL
SOL is an interdisciplinary artist from Oakland, California currently based in New York City whose work spans writing, movement, film, installation art and public dialogue. SOL’s practice is situated in the “ancient future,” exploring themes of cosmology and collective consciousness. Grounded in scholarly discourses of modernity and hegemony, her art investigates the psycho-spiritual dynamics shaping social disharmony. She has received numerous recognitions for her work as an avant- garde artist, including from her alma mater Harvard University. Truly interdisciplinary in nature and ever expanding, SOL's artistry oscillates mediums depending on the most suitable compartment for her philosophical inquiries.
