Fundraiser

Duties:

  • Plan institutional fundraising strategies based on research, experience, and best practices within the field, and identify and pursue opportunities accordingly;

  • Maintain concise records of all past and current strategies and approaches to securing external funding;

  • Develop and manage relationships with companies, foundations, and individuals whose funds are sought - before, during, and after funds are secured - ensuring outstanding institutional bonds with them;

  • Maintain thorough and concise records of all past and current donors and supporters, so as to ensure deep understanding of their profile and development over time;

  • Provide management team with a clear, evidence-based sense of which particular programmes/activities can be reasonably expected to receive external funding, from whom, and what modifications can be made in existing programmes/activities to increase their chances of having such funding secured, assisting - when appropriate - in the formulation of specific projects;

  • Identify potential partners/collaborators for particular programmes/activities, approaching them, negotiating the terms of a partnership/collaboration, and developing outstanding working relationships with them;

  • Serve as point person for the organization’s key donors and institutional partners, ensuring outstanding institutional bonds with them;

  • Perform ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience of successfully fundraising for non-profit arts organizations (preferably in the NYC area).

  • Must be a pleasure to work with.

Salary:

  • Negotiable, but we are currently giving preference to fundraisers who can work solely on commission.

Communications Director

Duties:

  • Plan and implement a comprehensive institutional communication strategy that integrates the organization’s online platforms (website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram);

  • Contribute to the creation of online content designed to engage specific audience segments and lead to measurable results;

  • Track and measure the success of the organization’s communication efforts, constantly and systematically providing the management team with a clear, evidence-based sense of which kinds of content can be implemented, modified, or disposed of to guarantee optimal performance and engagement with specific audience segments;

  • Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including supporters, musicians, corporate partners, remix artists, and the media, ensuring outstanding institutional bonds with them;

  • Maintain concise records of all past and current communications and public relations strategies and approaches;

  • Identify trends and opportunities for innovation in the organization’s communication strategy.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience in developing and executing communications strategies and programs for non-profit arts organizations, music label, or similar enterprise.

  • Must be a pleasure to work with.
